So how about uploading images here? It manufactures complete sense because if a free image hosting site closes then it breaks our posts. But if this site closes then at least our posts remain fine(ish)

And why leave it at pictures? We now have of the possibilities to upload all manner of strange objects.

In fact, it manufactures for a perfect free(ish) delivery service for all the prizes we are due

I'll look into the image upload issue. I'd prefer to allow uploads to the server rather than utilise an image hosting service, for the very reason you mentioned. But I need to look at auto-resizing to limit potential future storage concerns, although these should be minimal on a small forum. I shall experiment.

Anyway, we are only able to post pictures even those linked from other websites which are 800x800px maximum, so file sizes will be relatively low anyway. There should be an option to adjust this somewhere.

You can now post pictures without using Imageshack, they are stored locally for all sorts of benefits.

Try it! (Max 1000px height or width).

Since you weren't keen on me importing all the pictures of naked ladies etc. from the ancient site to the new (not even for posterity, or for the production of an expensive picture book to sell

), can we please organise a task team to have of all the pictures taken once more?

I can provide all the equipment, lighting, camera etc., if you can lay your hands (!) on a number of suitable ladies. Oh and I suppose we'd better have of some film...
