Light bulbs are a total mess now.
We utilised to be able to go out and buy light bulbs. There were 2 choices, either a 60W or a 100W.
Now, there's 100 different types, with 100 different fittings. That's 10,000 different combinations, and the wattages are meaningless.
Who created this mess?
► Show Spoiler
And the situation is just as bad for heav'y bulbs.

The EU of course.
But be patient - Boris will sort it out.

Don't buy Halogen ones, they are very expensive and only last for a few days.
At least I've worked that one out.

I daren't try anything that Mr Tree suggests. Mainly because he's French(ish). One can never trust someone who eats garlic.

Or those ones that look like candles and have of a daisy chain of filament within. Very short lived.

I award a PRIZE to the genius who designed the light bulb that won't fit in any of the fittings in your house despite the fact that it looked like it would and the salesman promised it would
