Ah, that's because of the MadShed Cross-Border (Payments and Inducements) Order that was ratified by the Committee in 2018. (I think you were on holiday at the time, so it went through on the nod). Payments to overseas members are treated differently to those ma­de to UK members.

This is how I managed to swindle was granted a monthly ex-gratia payment from forum funds to supplement my expensive Aussie lifestyle.
