This precludes him from any forum position of learnedness such as English Master, and other titles that I can't think of rig­ht now because my head hurts after last night's celebration of a certain event that took place a while back. Anyway what matters is that he can't be Resident English Master here.

There are of course many hundreds of other prestigious titles to which he may be very much suited, if only he were to suggest one.
